Lawrence has led Chinook Solutions since founding the company in 1999. As a broadly experienced generalist with 30 years of international experience, his functional and advisory roles have enabled distinguished visions to be realized in public, private and non-profit businesses. Lawrence brings strategic clarity, alignment and focus to his clients while leveraging flexible, scalable and effective techniques to help them translate their vision into results. His book’Strategic DNA – Bringing Business Strategies to Life’ (published by Agate B2 in Chicago) explains how to integrate strategy management best practices from visioning through results realization.
Lawrence’s first career was as an Air Traffic Engineer with Britain’s Civil Aviation Authority at Heathrow Airport, Pailton and Bletchley Park. He subsequently supported the US Military in Germany as a civilian contractor and was part of the team that won the Queen’s Award for Industry with Neotronics PLC before joining Bombardier Aerospace in Canada in 1987. Within Bombardier, Lawrence was assigned to Canadair, DeHavilland, Learjet and the Regional Aircraft Division performing transformational change leadership roles in Engineering, Manufacturing and Information Systems.
Lawrence has been active as an independent consultant since 1999. His work brings clarity to his client’s visions and strategies, enabling alignment of people, resources and priorities so that execution efforts remain focused on the right objectives. He is a certified management consultant and a project management professional and, in addition to his advisory engagements, is active as a facilitator, executive coach and entertaining public speaker.
